Hey friends, we're open! After this weeks stay at home order, many businesses deemed non-essential have closed their doors. Here at Orchard Lake Pet Resort, we have healthcare professionals, law enforcement officers, and many other essential workers who rely on us to care for their pets while they are away. This being said, we are operating during our regular business hours for the time being, unless the demand changes.
What can you do to help keep your family healthy?
We all love to pet our dogs, right? Please be conscious of washing your hands before you pet your animals during this time. While we know that pets can't transmit the virus to humans, this will prevent any germs and viruses from living on the surface of your pets fur. Wiping your pets paws when they come in from outside will also help minimize germs being tracked through your home. Regular baths for your pet will not only keep them healthy and clean, but will help prevent germs from being passed around your home. Don't forget, you can give us a call or visit us online to book an appointment.
What are we doing to help keep our clients and employees safe?
No, your breath doesn't smell bad, so don't be offended if we take a few steps back to practice safe "social distancing" during this time. We are taking extra precautions to clean and sanitize all surfaces including (but not limited to) door knobs, telephones, keyboards, floors, walls, kennels, bowls, toys, yards, and grooming equipment. During this time, we are also offering curbside drop-off/pickup and pay by phone if you would prefer not to come into the building.
What services are we offering at this time?
All of our services are operating as normal. Whether it's just for the day, or overnight, we are here to care for your pet with our boarding and daycare services. Our grooming is also operating as normal during this time, as regular grooming is an essential part of keeping your pet healthy and your home germ-free.
Like all small businesses, this is an incredibly challenging time for us. Orchard Lake Pet Resort has been in business for 20+ years and has never been hit as hard as we are now. We are doing everything we can to sustain ourselves and keep Orchard Lake Pet Resort open for years to come. To our clients who have given us continued support, we cannot begin to thank you enough. To the clients we won't see for a few weeks due to the lockdown, STAY HEALTHY! Our amazing clients have become our family and have allowed us to build our business to what it has become today.
Wishing safety and good health to all,
Nathan, Nick, Genevieve, & the OLPR Staff
